  2. BrightEyes Says:

what is your question? is it can you get a strat for that price?

if so, the answer is yes.

do NOT get a squier strat. they’re pieces of sh!t. they have cheap pickups, the action is bad and they never stay in tune..

  3. nvrrong Says:

you can get a good strat [made in USA] for about 750.00. Check out musicians friend magazine.

  4. Aubrey K Says:

ya squire straits go around 200-300 fenders go around 500-1000 so you can buy your self a good one go to one of your towns local music store. i go tmy strat for 100 but its a mini.

  5. Mountain Man Says:

First of all stay away from the 70′s and 80′s guitars a lot were just junk. I played some of the Mexican made strat’s that weren’t tooooo bad, and some of the Japan strat’s did good. Depending on your type of music you should consider your amp. I use an old Fender Super Reverb { a loose sound} which I love ( I play country and gospel music ). If you’re into rock or metal, you may want something like a Marshall{tight sound}.

Cheap but good, huh? Well for $500-1000, you have a big scope of selection. For a little more money, at $1,699-1,799, you have the Fender VG Stratocaster:

This guitar has all functions of several other guitars in the Fender series: in terms of sound, there is a mode knob that’ll change from Stratocaster to Telecaster and to acoustic. And, instead of tuning at the head of the neck of the guitar, you can switch a knob that changes to other tunings. However, remember, it’ll charge you a bit more.

The new pickups on the Highway One Telecaster guitar produce a more round sound with that great Fender sparkle; it also has great high-gain sounds.
