is a $1000 fender sunburst american guitar worth spending the money on?

Personally, I think the only reason its 1000 bucks it because it says “american”. It dosent make a ton of difference. The Made in Mexico guitars are pretty much the same, besides being Mexican, its all the same manufacturing. they can just sell an American one for more.
Basically what I mean, Is if you can find the same kind of guitar, a MIM one, or something similar that you like, i would go with it. seeing as how it’ll probobly be plenty cheaper, at about the same general quality.
