I have a mustang from 1963 or 4, and I was just wondering, since I dont know the difference.

Also, not that Im planning to sell it, but any idea how much it would be worth?

it is neither, it is a mustang.
your guitar, if in decent condition, is worth about $300.

Mustangs are the shit! They were introduced as a short-scale student model that followed up the Duo-Sonic, Musicmaster, and Bronco designs. Because they were marketed as a student model, their resale value is not as high as other Fender guitars made before and around the time that CBS bought the company in the early 60′s. Depending on condition, I doubt that you could get over $900 for it, and that is if the instrument is completely immaculate with OHSC and documentation.

Mustangs are beautiful instruments with character and a tone all their own. I plan on building one from the ground up with Warmoth parts. Hold on to it!!!

If t is in mint or near mint ,,,all original that iz you could fetch a small fortune for it !!! .By the way it is a mustang..$5,000 but if you do sell it for $300. let me know!!!

It’s a strat. A new Fender ’65 Mustang is about $1000 so if yours is in good condition it could be worth $500 or more.

Neither like milesfordinner states they were marketed more for the student so they are 3/4 size (most anyway).
